Inside The Zoo (2020 - 2021)

Behind the scenes with animals and keepers at Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park. A fast-disappearing Scottish species is thrown a lifeline and it is time for two zebras to begin a new life.

There Is enrichment for the meerkats and wolverines, cuddly koala Kolari has a nasty eye infection and the flamingos show off their unusual nest-building skills.

It’s training time for barn owls Rowan and Cedar and for Dharma the Sumatran tiger. And Keeper Sarah is hoping she will have a baby armadillo to look after.

Pedicures for goats and horses, and giant popsicles for polar bears – it’s all in a day’s work at Highland Wildlife Park. And the vets at Edinburgh Zoo deal with a zebra with arthritis.

There are Arctic fox and snow leopard cubs to be cared for at Highland Wildlife Park. Meanwhile, at Edinburgh Zoo everyone is hoping for a bumper bird-breeding season.
