While Harald studies at Oxford, King Olav, grieving Crown Princess Märtha, hosts a birthday party filled with princesses. But Harald longs for Sonja and his friends. Queen Elizabeth pressures King Olav to address Harald's choice, as Harald battles between love and duty. With tensions high and rumours swirling, Harald delivers an ultimatum: only the King can decide their fate.
