At the mid-season peak, three centuries-old fishing strategies compete. Joe relies on instinct, Tyler turns to science, and Niko relies on tradition.

Battling with Tyler for the lead, Joe partners with Niko. But when Niko's zapper fails at the worst possible moment, Tyler steps in to save the day.

As the giant bluefin gorge themselves on schools of fatty baitfish, captains battle to capture oversized "quota-killer" tuna. Young gun Joe scores a rare hat trick, landing three in a day, while veteran Tyler struggles with both science and technology.

A change in weather forces Tyler to shift his strategy, and he scores big. Joe takes to the air instead, racing to find a lone tuna he spots at sea.
