A patrol ends fatally for the Danish soldier 'Pede', when he stepped on one of the Taliban's buried IED's. The comrades who have their helmet cameras on throughout the dramatic event, struggling to save his life. 'The earth is Toxic' everywhere when Danish soldiers moving around between the buried IED's in Helmand, and each step may be the last .

A British soldier stepped on a roadside bomb, and dies a few meters from a Danish soldier who filmed it all with his helmet camera . As the locals say that the Englishman's leg is hung up as a trophy in their local bazaar. The soldiers move down to retrieve it. But the patrol turns out to be an ambush organized by the Taliban, and it will have fatal consequences for the Danish soldiers.

A group of Danish soldiers take the lead, to take a Taliban stronghold in the largest allied operation since D-Day. But the enemy has prepared himself, so the soldiers encounter unexpectedly strong resistance and the operation is delayed. The Danes stranded deep in enemy land - and when they are exhausted.
